Job Summary:
The primary role of the Custodian position is to perform the cleaning day-to-day activities of the school building, including but not limited to; flooring work, maintaining lobby, hallway, classrooms and bathrooms, emptying the trash barrels, upkeep of interior as may be directed by the Administrator to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
This is a part-time position, 5 days a week from 4:00PM-7:00PM (flexible hours) with competitive pay.
Essential Duties (include but are not limited to):
- Carry out light maintenance duties, including and maintaining emptying of trash barrels etc.
- Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
- Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner.
- Keep work/assignment areas free of hazardous objects such as protruding mop/broom handles, unnecessary equipment, supplies, etc.
- Follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used for cleaning. Refer to manufacturer’s instructions when necessary.
- Knowledge and experience with flooring, how to clean and maintain various types of flooring.
